Dr Nastela Babo - General Dentistry

Leader Dental Associates is very happy to welcome Dr Nastela Babo to our office.  Dr Babo is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.  Dr. Babo worked closely with Dr Leader for her last year of school.

Dr. Golnaz Movafaghi- Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Movafaghi, (or Dr. Golnaz as many of her patients call her), graduated from Tufts Dental School in 2000 and then continued to do a 2 year residency, specializing in Pediatric Dentistry, at Boston University.  Dr. Golnaz is practicing in Lowell, since 2001. In addition, she is studying for an MBA in health care management, at BU .

Dr. Golnaz was a competitive ice skater back in California. She stopped training and started to coach children during her university years at USC. She continued to coach at the Frog Pond ice skating rink in the Boston Commons throughout dental school. That is why she was so attracted to pediatrics. She loves teaching and working with children on the ice, and knew that she could transfer her desire to work with children, into dentistry.

Dr. David Leader - General Dentist

Dr David Leader founded Leader Dental Associates in 1989 after practicing in the the area for four years.   On Mondays and Tuesdays, Dr Leader continues his commitment to providing the best possible dental care for his patients.

Dr Leader graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1985.  Now, as an Assistant Clinical Professor, Dr Leader spends three days a week training tomorrow's dentists.

Dr Leader cares for Malden and surrounding communities by providing a well staffed, and up to date office.  Also, Dr Leader is known for his commitment to local education.  Many people enjoy reading his monthly column in the Malden Observer, and attending his performances in the children's room of the Malden Public library.

Dr Kerri Bourgeois

Dr. Kerri Bourgeois, or Dr. “B”, as she is affectionately called, is a graduate of the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she was awarded the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Award for outstanding academic achievement, the Dr. Morris Bradin Award for original research in Periodontology, and the Department of Endodontics Award for outstanding performance in Endodontics.   Dr. B completed her Residency at Harvard Medical School affiliates: Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brookside Community Health Center. During her residency, in addition to performing general dental procedures, Dr. Bourgeois also performed biopsies, provided emergency management of acute dental problems, worked with bone marrow transplant patients, medically compromised patients, and day surgery patients.  Dr. B. has also published several articles from her research at the Harvard School of Public Health.  Additionally, she is certified as a Technologist in Hematology through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Currently, Dr. Bourgeois has fun putting smiles on children’s faces (and her own) by volunteering for the Mass. Dental Association’s Mobile Access Van (MAC Van), which provides services free of charge to children and teens who would not otherwise have access to dental care. She left many young faces smiling in Philadelphia where she also provided care on the Penn Dental Smiles Van while attending Penn Dental. When she has free time, Dr. B. enjoys walking, hiking, climbing mountains, snow-shoeing, dining with friends, and designing/creating handcrafted jewelry with semi-precious stones.
